that's what I've been doing, Tom. it might have helped but it hasn't done much yet.

I think your best bet is to have the Underwater Light Dude upgrade your light http://uwlightdude.com/ there is no telling what else may need work on the light as well as the battery

Mine still works like a champ - it's my favorite light. Maybe he'll get lucky and it's the 13° bulb, which was discontinued around 2005. There is no LED I would swap mine for.

This might be a source if folks are looking for parts to go into an old MR16 HID This is saying 30 watts ! I might order one just to see how it works

it is a 10watt. the light head is grey and fixed focus, i don't know if it is 13* or not.

The pictures are OK, but don't show the canister, which is what you need to measure to choose a new battery. And Russell is right, see post #15
