If it's fresh, absolutely, but fresh means just out of the net, cleaned and tossed into ice water, breaded and fried in peanut oil with some Jalapeno Hush Puppies, Lunch is over, how come I'm hungry again.
Yeah, I know Mullet are bottom feeders, but they eat a whole lot better than say King do.

the Vietnamese cook carp in coconut milk with lemon grass and chili peppers, the Polish soak it in milk and onions--and Illinois' Schafer Fisheries, which processes 12 million pounds of carp a year, most of which is shipped to China, Japan, Canada, and Europe, plus a few ethnic restaurants and markets in major U.S. cities. (In 2006, Schafer discussed the idea of feeding carp meat to feed prisoners with Springfield legislators, but the response was tepid.)
From the article "Long thought of as a trash fish--carp has a mild flavor, a fishy odor, and lots of bones--" I agree.
Weren't Carp imported to the US as a "sport fish"

Maybe something bigger than a three ft. fish ate him? There aren't any cave monsters in JB are there? He actually hides pretty good, first time I saw him I was close enough to him , it gave me a start, I wasn't probably more than three ft. away and I think he's about that big isn't he?
The first time I saw him I thought he was a strange shaped rock until I got close enough to realize it was a big fish. I've been looking for him and haven't seen him the past couple dives in JB. He's relocated to a side passage somewhere.
