O2 Deco Reg

I'm having this same internal debate. Almost all of my regs are DR, and all BG and deco/stage/sm regs interchange. Most of those RG3000, a pair 3100s and one set 3500 Hurricanes. The 3000/3100 series breath well enough but have proven absolutely bullet proof and like a Timex. 3500s breathe great, but tend to creep with use.

That said I used my Zeagle flathead VI last week and I really appreciated it when doing deco in ripping river current.

I'm considering switching over everything to Atomic, Apex, or Zeagle (new job, brands we carry, gear @cost).

I use a 1976 U.S. Divers Calypso IV rebuilt with Viton O rings on the yolk tank , or a Dive Rite with the DIN tank.

Sherwood Brut (older oval body). Simple and reliable.

I have 6 HOG D1 cold's. I have two set up as my sidemount regs but the other 4 just kind of rotate between different stage bottles and deco bottles all with the same 6" hp hose and 36" reg hose.

Mk10/g250's can be had affordably and make good deco/stage regs once you rebuild and *degrease* them.

I have 4 HOG D1 Colds.

1 Set for doubles (back or sidemount), 1 dedicated to O2 use and 1 that alternates between 50% deco botttle and singles rig use.

Very happy with them so far
