I just posted the first adapter that I found, wasn't aware if there was any difference between it and the one I use.

Poseidon makes nice regs, but I don't like being tied to specific hoses. Having adapters like this and a 90 degree elbow adapter gives you some nice options. Call Wayne @ Amigos and see if he still has any of the ones I mentioned, I sent him an email but I know he responds better to calls and local visits.

PS Not sure why you'd need a PRV on a LP hose, but I guess it's a nice bonus feature.

You wouldn't on a Cyklon, but the servo operated 2nd stages won't open up if the valve seat in the 1st stage fails. That is why the Jetstream hoses have that big connector on the 2nd stage. It is a pressure relief valve.

Just put an OPV in the 1st stage and you are set to jet!

There already is an OPV on the first stage, as long as it is one of the newer flat bottom regs.

That's the route I'm taking.

So, what's the need for an OPV? If the 1st stage goes, the 2nd stage is already toast, right?

Keeps the hose from exploding. You can still breathe, it just freeflows, like any reg that looses the 1st stage valve seat.

Never saw a hose explode. It just blows the 2nd stage everywhere like a pinwheel, knocks your mask half off and silts up the Peanut tunnel 700 feet in.
Well, that's what I had happened when a DR first blew. That's why I own Poseidens now.

Which DR was that? Most DR regs have downstream 2nd stages, so they just free flow. If you had the wrong hose on the DR/Jetstream, it could do that.
