I found the entire process of finding/getting into/mapping virgin cave -exhilarating;a good thing , I imagine from the outside it might be hard to see how it could be fun.Many a day in minus 30-soaked and covered in mud-digging away / dive after dive taking the survey/pouring over notes and drawings while making maps-LOVE it-and miss it dearly!!
I must say I am happy to see what "appears" to be an increase in interests/participation in surveying new stuff.The knowledge gained for many facets is invaluable and without it-people would not have all these lovely little maps they like to use for navigation.

Is it better to dive a virgin cave or Her Momma that knows what she's doing?

Does a flooded mine shaft that ended after about 50' count? Numerous guys were obviously there before, but I don't think the "cave" enjoyed it. :D
