Exactly that I was thinking. Weren't they orinigally asking for around $300K.

Anyway Whippoorwill was imagined that it connected to Hornsby...No connection has been made (they are about 4,800' apart).

There was a conversation on here a while back when the property originally went up for sale. I think the CDS and NACD were remotely interested as well.

80k? Where is the NACD at on this one?

Probably wanting to make sure they invest in a site with actual going cave. Sure Whippoorwill might go, but as far as it seems in this thread... it hasn't been proven to go anywhere. $80k is alot of money for a cave organization to pay for a sink without going passage.

No dichotomy at all - most of the money spent on conservation in the US comes from the sale of hunting & fishing licenses and from other hunting/conservation groups such as Ducks Unlimited.
