Man, what a sad story.
You guys certainly have bigger balls than I do. While that is beautiful (aside from the trash), I have a thing about low viz OW diving...ESPECIALLY with 5 foot gar and 10 foot gators around. Sheesh!

wow, I get chills just reading your report. I guess growing p in the 80's with movies like Jaws, Alligator, Piranna, and Lake Placid (90's) I am damaged for life. I get more spooked bobing on the surface than floating below it. Great post. I really enjoyed it, although I will most likely never dive there.
