CDF Social September 16

I seemed to have caused a bit of confusion, let me try and clear it up.

The park dose not want us to work in Snake (Yana) with saws and ropes from the surface due to the fragile nature of the steep banks. Diving in from the spring head and into Snake, picking up litter is fine.

Pickig up litter from the spring head, in both sinks and the cave system is still a go and will very much be appreciated.

BTW, the poision ivy I mentioned is all around Snake, on the banks. Since there will be nobody going up and down the bank, it is now a non-issue :wink:

I wanted to thank everyone that came out to Lafayette on Saturday and helped with the cleanup. We were able to gather about 6 hefty bags full of cans, bottles, and other debris.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the drinks the CDF and TJ provided as well as the sandwiches and raffle prizes donated by the NACD.

Because of everyone's help we have once again shown the state parks that we are a community that gives back.

I want to thank you and everybody so much for your efforts! Six bags of trash is huge. I'm sure most, if not all, was taken underwater.
