Who would buy your stroke-level gear, anyway? Might as well just burn it and save the next stroke the trouble. ;)
Buhlmann did "win" but that wasn't the reason you see it on dive computers. This study was performed and published in the last few years. However, my comment wasn't on the efficacy of one strategy vs the other or if the test was valid. My comment was merely that inflammation markers were actively being measured due to decompression stress of "non-bent" divers.
I haven't noticed any inflammation for sure, but I will say, anecdotally, I believe that sinus issues are commonly associated with longish high-PO2 exposures.
I wonder how many people actually know how the term stroke was coined or what it means.
