Yeah, looking at some of these photos I can imagine what happens when there is a wreck. Next time you see Jill, ask her about their experience. Hundreds of pounds of cylinders flying every-which-way.

I've been told that in some states it's illegal to transport high pressure cylinders (over 1800psi) that aren't latched down.

my system is pretty good. tanks are clipped in and pretty secure

For the guys laying the tanks down in their Pick-up beds, how are you securing them?

a couple of 2X4s going the width of the bed, with cross members to keep the tanks from rolling. Eye screws with bungees so they don't bounce on rough roads. I don't have a picture since I don't have the truck anymore.

Why bother securing them? The gentle clanking sounds made by the tanks rolling around reminds me of a cross between wind chimes and demolition derby. Very soothing.
