Sartek dive light

My buddy and I also have Sartek's. Work great, great customer service. PERIOD.

On my side mount rig I use a dive rite switch cover (old style) to protect the switch on my sartek to stop it switching off when diving.

I have had it four years and just borght a new one as a second primery light. Its the best light I have ever owned.

My buddy and I have Sartek lights and we love them. I recently sent it in to replace the switch to the new one. I bought a Goodman type handle for it at Ginnie which significantly better than the plastic clip and strap that come with it.

The "new style" rotary switch (mentioned by lhack) that comes on the newer canisters solves this problem. It's virtually impossible to turn on accidently and I haven't bumped it off during a dive yet (as opposed to the old style switch, which I'd typically bump off at least once during a week of sidemounting. I also think the rotary switch is easier to switch on and off (when you want to) than the old toggle switch.

I think it's a fairly inexpensive upgrade to get the new switch installed. I've had excellent service from Sartek in general during the ~2 years I've been using their 10W non-focusable HID. I had to send it in once (bulb failed), but the service was quick and reasonably priced, and a good excuse to get the switch done and wetmates added.

those adjustable handles are pretty good. I even use them on Non Sartek light.

I think I paid like $35.00 for the rotary switch upgrade. It is much easier to use even with thick gloves and out of sight behind me on my tank strap or BP. I always felt like I might break the toggle switch while trying to figure out which way to flip it, when doing it by feel alone.

i have a 10 watt with an adjustable head. I have not had any problems with it. They now have a new switch that turn on and off so it doesnt get bumped off

My buddy and I have now bought the lights, and goodman handles. So far it is great. The new style switch is the turn knob and works great. The adjustable head works easier tha a D.R. with a clearer white beam. Many thanks to Homo Erectus. Thanks to all for your input. We hope to pass you all soon. 8)

I bought one of the first small 10-W canister lights they made and have been using it for four years and it's never once failed. Customer service is awesome as other posters have described and when I take it in to have it looked over, it usually comes back with the latest upgrades.
