Most people are very eager and keen, until you get a price for a 10" slug of Delrin or HDPE and the machining costs...then the excitement wears off real fast.

Well when I started this thread I was actually asking about buying used parts of mako scooters and piecing one together like that...I doubt I would be doing any machining. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on decent prices or if they had any parts to build one....over time :)

I understand, sorry for the hijack.
The answer to your question is yes. With patience a little bit of work, and diligence you can end up with a great mako for under $500. Ive done it twice.

When I was at Steve Gamble's a while back for pockets, he had SCADS of Mako bits & bobs...does he sell re-mac's?
