Well, the NACD Annual Seminar weekend is over, and we appreciate all of the vendors, sponsors, speakers, and participants who made it possible.
We started off with the social at Ginnie on Friday night. We had burgers and dogs on the grill, a band, a bonfire, and time to socialize. The weekend continued on Saturday with the seminar. Thank you Hal Watts, Mark and Annette Long, Bill Lester, Rob Neto, Kelly Jessop, and Larry Green for your presentations. Topics included dive memories from the past, water conservation, the current state of hyperbaric chambers in Florida, the NFSA, and changes in cave diving equipment over the years. Afterwards we had our annual membeship meeting. Also, this year the NACD scheduled time from its vendors to talk about their products.
We had a variety of door prizes and thank all for the contributors who made it possible. Raffle prizes included a sidemount system from Hollis; a generous gift certificate from DiveRite; an Intova video set-up from Spruce Creek Scuba and a trail marker on the Interpretative Trail from the NFSA; and a regulator and Green Force light from Bill Stone, a Green Force and Blue Steel rep.
We look forward to seeing you next year for the 45th annual seminar.
