Greenwood got it right. What I have is a flexible fill whip about 3' long used to transfer gas from one tank to another, but it only works with yoke style valves. I just got a bunch of tanks back from being hydro'd and I'm in the process of tumbling them. Once they are tumbled, I want to put a small amount of gas in them to keep the crap out.
I had not thought of the screw in plugs Forrest, but that would probably work just fine.

works if your din valves allow for it, not all do! If they do they have the little hole on the back where the yoke screw centers it.

Huxley, that's similar to what I was looking at when I first posted.
