Company Question

From my perspective, if you are selling Halcyon you are selling more than just gear. If you want a complete line that has it all, DR has you covered. If you want to have very good stuff, there are lots of specialty providers; Sartek, Sandho, Mb-sub for lights; Oxycheq, Agir, Golem for wings and other doo-dads, and plenty of the standard providers have the regs, etc. that you would need to fill out the package.

Just thought I would add my 2 cents worth. Have you looked at Zeagle, OMS, Reef Scuba, Ralph Hood reels, XS etc. I got hooked on Zeagle regs diving cold water great lakes wrecks and I use a Ranger bcd as my recreational Bcd when I go to the Keys or Roatan. Otherwise my gear looks like a poster for DR. Safe diving. Ken oh ya don't forget DUI.

I didn't say I was burned out with DR. I said the shop owner was burned out dealing with Halcyon and Oxycheq that he didn't even try to deal Dive Rite because of the bad experiences he had with the two previous.

we have had great success with Hollis the equipment is first rate and the pricing is very good. I like that they have a very good R&D department in house so if i have an idea on a new product they can punch out prototypes in no time. I also like the idea of having multiple lines from one company (oceanic, hollis, etc.)

Well, unless you count the Hurricanes (Beuchat, DIR compliant) or the Jetstreams (Poseidon, NOT DIR) which are both regarded as high performance as well. I had a terrible experience with the Jetstreams (YMMV, could have been just THAT reg that my buddy donated), but have had universally stellar performance from the Hurricanes.

Another inexpensive tech gear company is OMS, but 100% I'd rather see you go DR. You and your customers will have a better experience. Once you get beyond backplates things start to reveal themselves.

If you need to put the most eggs in the fewest baskets, DR is the way to go.
