Peacock users

We were there on a Friday, and my buddy needed to buy a pass. He left a note to that effect with his c-card on the dash. We came back to a note from the ranger that she'd been by a couple of times, but missed us. We went back on Saturday and she came by while we were gearing up.

I think Kelly's right, and they're just stretched thin.

Just for those of you who don't know, you can order state park passes online.

Great point.
It is worth it if possible to give the purchase to Peacock because the park get credit for it.

Or drive by Troy Spring (or someplace like it) on your way into town, where there is almost always at least one ranger handy to sell you a pass.

As Kelly said, apparently there is some benefit to Peacock if you buy the pass at Peacock, hence my desire to update my pass at Peacock.

It is time for me to renew my pass too. Does anyone have any contact information for the ranger at Peacock? Could we mail them a check instead of doing it online so they can get credit?

You can also drive to the ranger station. Don't cut through the park, because there are signs saying not to. Go down to the next graded road (towards Cow) turn right, and the ranger station is a few hundred yards on the right. I can't remember if there is a sign, anyone else remember?

The mail box says Peacock spring.

We always make sure the money ends up at Peacock.

Every year in the past we've left a note on the envelope and on the dashboard saying we needed a new pass - and the ranger brought the paperwork around. Never figured it mattered if the pass got bought on Monday we first needed it or on the next day.

Sounds like at the moment that would cause a problem though. Seems like it's best to go around the corner and find the ranger just to be on the safe side.
