Message from Jackie Turner
Park Services Specialist
Wakulla Springs State Park........
Thank you for the offer of service for the Sally Bridge Project on behalf of your organization, the Wakulla Dive Club. As I told you in our phone conversation, we had a great response from the Friends of Wakulla Springs State Park, and consequently, we did not need any additional volunteers. We had a great service day and almost completed the assembly of the bridge.
In addition, I appreciate your organization’s offer of service to help with the park’s fall Saturday service days. We are in need of volunteer assistance for several planned road cleanups including: Sat Sept 26, McBride Slough (National Public Lands Day); Sat Oct 10, SR 267; and Sat Oct 24, US 319 & New Light Church/CJ Spears. Please let Jennifer Primm, Wakulla Springs State Park AmeriCorps member, know if you or any of your members are interested in assisting with any or all of these events. For your convenience, I have copied her on this email. I would greatly appreciate any assistance that your organization could provide for these service projects, which are part of Keep Wakulla County Beautiful.

These cleanup days will be simple but I think that the more we are involved the more we get noticed. If you would like to participate let me know and I will let them know we are coming.
That being said I will also be working on getting the "emerald crew" together to plan a day with the Park Manager and getting Clearcut open.
