If you want the standards, go to an NSS-CDS instructor and he'll gladly show them to you. Dude, this is a non-issue. They are available, they are even conveniently available. I'm sorry that it twists your panties that it's not available online instantly at your immediate convenience. Life isn't fair. Deal with it.

This is an important issue, transparency has been an underlying theme in numerous attacks against several agencies, I see these types or replies everyday and 99% are complete BS, in truth its usually a lie thats generated so the offending party doesn't have to take any responsibility......it goes to the "those damn lawyer" mentality that most people are dumb enough to fall for.

Standards" should be published and provided upon request and there's nothing unreasonable about that, refusal to provide them sets a precedent that's cause for concern.

While the current BOD isn't responsible for this absurdity they are the ones in the unique position to fix it.

Personally I dont believe the excuse and think its BS and even if its true its calls into question the competence of those that accepted that answer.

For every organization that teaches cave diving,can someone provide a link to the standards for cave training. If none,then write none. I know someone out there has this information.

That's just it, they are available upon request. Request from ANY current NSS-CDS instructor. I promise they'll give you them. This isn't just NSS-CDS. There are several agencies who standards are not available online.

So any CDS instructor will email me a copy to study? or do you have to physically meet them and they will stand over you until you are done with a review?
