Information: Scooters

I am getting closer to buying a scooter and i wanted to get some opinions and what folks look for in scooters. i'm not trimix yet but I plan on getting there at some point so I'd just like to go ahead and buy one that will operate at deeper depths than 160ft.

I've looked at the Gavin models and of course the Appollo's and several others. Can you all share guidance and experience?

SS or gavin I think are the way to go, there are the new X that seens to be good, but they haven't been out long enough to tell yet..

I love my SS UV-26. Which is why I have a used Mako for sale. $900.

I own a SS 18 and 26 (two bodies, one motor end)

IMHO its the cat's azz. Very easy to ride, excellent balance, the engineering is top-notch, and its trivially serviceable if required (mine hasn't required anything at all)

If you wreck dive as well the 18 body is fantastic for the ocean, as the 26 is a beast to haul around on a boat.

I don't think you'd be disappointed with one..... I know I haven't been.
