NACD - Dog Days of August Social - Aug. 9 at Dive Outpost from 10am til 4 pm
NACD and the Dive Outpost will joinly host a social at Dive Outpost on Saturday, August 9, from 10am til 4pm.
See flyer: http://www.safecavediving.com/2008_D...mmer_flyer.pdf
This event will include a cookout, casual swap meet and a Dive Rite Demo Days. Participants will be able to tryout DR products; including rebreathers, at Peacock Springs. There is a $25 fee to demo a rebreather. DR gear will be discounted during the social.
Cathy, owner of Dive Outpost, is hosting and providing the cookout goodies and beverages. This event is scheduled the day before the NSS Mini-Workshop in Lake City with the intention of getting some of the dry cavers to come and see what cave diving is about or at least eat some free food and socialize. Since the subject of the Mini-workshop is the progression of caving to cave diving, our event should be an excellent fit by allowing the dry cavers to talk with cave divers, look at gear and look at some of the local dive sites; e.g., Peacock Springs, etc..
Dive Rite Demos at Dog Days Social
In addition to the activities listed above, Dive Rite will bring their latest gear to the Dog Days Social for particiapants to tryout; including the O2ptima rebreather ($25 charge to test rebreather).
See 2nd thread in this section regarding Dive Rite's participation.
We hope to see you there.
