Manatee 06/15/2008
After spending Saturday at Yinnie (UFFDA)...
Photog Ed and I did a dunk into Friedman's today (Sunday).
Water level in Friedman's has dropped a bit , but we had no trouble getting in.
Went upstream about 700 feet. VERY NICE VIS !!!
Turned around , picked up deco bottles , and sailed out.
Very little particulate in the water and about medium flow. Nothing gushing by any means. Light coming in at Sue's was gorgeous , as usual.
We were able to do 50 , 40 and 30 foot stops in the headspring again. Flow must have been down or we are getting better at it ! ( LOL )
I think the flow was down.
Very nice dive (85 mins) and great vis most of the way. Thanks Ed !!!!

P.S. Picked a few more greenie hanging thingies off of the line. They just LOVE congregating on the arrows. (EEK) :D

LiteHedded and I did Manatee on 6/7. It was some of the best cave dives I've had. The light coming down from Sue's was amazing. It was the first time we had made it there from Catfish, and it was a really cool surprise. For the old timers, I'm not sure if it is as exciting, but for us newbies, the sight was just really inspiring. After the dives we went on a mission to find the sink so we could see what it looked like from above....much prettier from below :)
