Relief.....
After exactly 7 years, 11 months, and 23 days of being cavern cert, soooo many hours of reading, finding gear, etc, today I'll be done with gear purchases needed for my intro to cave class. I called and placed my $100 deposit down on the May 10/11th class. It sucks to see so much money spent in such a short period of time.....especially as a college student, but I've known I wanted to do this for a while, and the gear I'm buying is mostly all stuff that can stick with me through the full cave class even (except tanks).
How much nyquil did it take on average to help everyone to get some sleep and not think about diving after signing up? :smt081
Anyways, thanks to everyone on here for their help, several of you have been great sellers and have given good advice with your free time, and I really appreciate that.
Hopefully little river clears up, that's where the class is supposed to be held (and Ginnie). If not I guess it's manatee or jackson blue along with Ginnie.

Don't worry, you'll sleep like a rock that first night after class. Enjoy!

LR is so *iffy* when it comes to this flood stuff. Your guess is as good as anybodies as to when it is diveable...especially for an intro class. There are minimum starting viz standards that apply.
By May 10/11 Peacock should be good, hopefully LR will be good also. Madison Blue just opened up for diving this past Friday so as it stands right now you have options. You're not limited to just Ginnie/Manatee.
