Seems to me that scuba diving mag changed most of the situation and names but the accident senario is right on from what I last heard.

i don't think you can be *sure* since the details were changed to protect the innocent & the guilty & the author, but that's exactly what i thought of when i read it, too.
he's associated with seaduction, a shop in dunn, nc. i don't know if he's the owner, *an* owner, their instructor, or what, but that's an affiliation. he & the shop were at beneath the sea.
and that's all i know about that.

It probably is about Judy. I've read a few of Ange's stories, including the one he wrote about the death on the Yukon last year. The details are usually way off, but the story is close enough for him to make his point. He's even published a book of his lessons for life. A few of his stories lead to bad conclusions. There was one a few months ago. I don't remember the details, but Ange was way off on his recommendations.
Well, one of his conclusions in this one that "garage filling stations" are death traps is a stretch. Around here I can show him a garage filling station that is better equipped and run then any of the dive shops in the area.Quote:

Mike seems respected & well trained & informed. Thank you Al. An article well written, even though many here have doubts as to the true story that occured.
