I am not sure what the policy is on that: Is anyone allowed to do that? Do we need to notify any party?

passed by this yesterday. kermantle is showing a bit of wear in a spot, but seems fairly intact and it's not actively rubbing on rock. should be good for a bit longer.
first 1,000' is starting to get pretty patched up, might be time to get a line replacement project setup. figure that buck stops at @kensuf 's desk?
