Joe Citelli 4/17/2023
At little before 6:00 PM today Joe Citelli passed away surrounded by his family a some close friends. Joe was a long time Wreck and Cave Diver and was in Tom Mounts first IANTD Trimix class. He was a true mentor and positive influence for all the Divers he trained. He will be sorely missed by me and the rest of his friends. The Dive Community has lost a good man today.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...449ebc6f7b.jpg

My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Joe was the friendliest diver and instructor I knew. He will certainly be missed. Condolences to his family and his many past students and friends!

Joe went with me on several Mexico trips back in the 90's. His dive bud was usually the late Ralph Fenton. They were a good team and good guys to hang around with. For those who may not know this, Joe was on the CDS BOD a few years ago. For many years, I joked with him about doing those salt water dives and having to clean up all his gear after every dive. Not a problem at Ginnie, I would say!
Sorry to hear this bad news.

So sorry to hear of this
Joe was a really nice man and always had a good word and a smile for a visiting diver. He contributed training columns to Underwater Speleology and also served on the CDS Board. I did not know him very well but I liked him. 'Wishing his family my sincere condolences.

Did Joe pass away from illness or was diving involved? I only interacted with him for a short time years ago within the CDS board. He was passionate about improving the CDS as an independant arm of the NSS-CDS.
Condolences to his family and friends.
