Anyone have experience with the new XDeep N700 regs? I guess they've been teased for years by XDeep and they're finally on the market. Just wondering if anyone has tried them out. Most of the videos or reviews about by XDeep SCUBA-influencers.
How do you guys/gals like them for BM or SM?

There is really no point in looking at reviews on youtube/facebook. They're pretty much all BS. People get free stuff (and/or money) in exchange to 'review' stuff. Having said that, even if they were honest, what can you say about a reg after using it a few times?Quote:

That's why I only buy Scubapro and Apeks regs.
I don’t disagree with bent that much. Most all of the reviews on them are from xdeep fanboys. Many who receive free product. And after waiting years for these I think they could be the worst reg ever but they’re not going to say that. They have a cool looking for, factor but I don’t know how useful that is. Personally I wouldn’t buy an expensive set of regs with minimal service support in the US that are a first generation product from a company that’s never made regs before. Tecdivegear is the main US distributor. They’re customer service is spotty. If I had a reg issue and needed immediate assistance, I doubt I’d get it from them.
Hey Seamonkey, I just saw that you're looking for Apeks regs in the other thread. Just get Scubapros off of ebay or craigslist an get them serviced... mk10 or 20s with G250s go for pretty cheap and they're good regs. IMHO there is no advantage in getting fancy new regs.
There is always Deep6 and DiveRite... I'll let you know when I wear my DR's out.... going strong for almost 10 years.

I can't speak to the quality of the Deep 6 regs, I only have one and it is my non-sidemount open water regulator... meaning I don't dive it much... but I like it.... My DiveRite regs on the other hand (yes nomax suit is being worn) has yet to be serviced , every once in a while I have to tweak the 2nd stages.... there is NO salt in their history...When I do finally have to service them, I will likely buy a set of Chris's regs and see how much abuse they will take.Quote:

Side note: i actually cant stand apeks regs. I feel theyve done the opposite of dr and quality has suffered some. In particular their hp seat issues. Which those that are apeks dealers will tell you isnt a real issue. But just between my wife, myself, and a local instructor most of you know, I believe we?re up to 6 hp failures in about 3 years. I?m always waiting for the next hp failure. Luckily none of mine have been on a dive.
The only pro to apeks is their ease of service, ubiquitous parts, and when they work they work well. Oh and you can easily get parts to block the ip for ccr use. But you can do the same with sp and halcyon?s diaphragm reg

Not sure if you a really just trolling or just trying to be different. Makes no sense to buy new regs instead of getting them serviced. Instead of 'tweaking the 2nd stages' you should get the sets serviced for cave diving.Quote:

In you're case Waldo, I'd really spend that money on training instead of waiting for my regs to fail just buy new pricey ones.
I actually have training on servicing regulators, but I DO IT SO much... that I'll pay someone else... when I can't tweak the 2nd stages, I'll flip the LP seat... IP on the 1st stags has been solid... Otherwise the 2nd stages have been solid as well.
