The Nerd 1 "box" has the same connector that a Petrel EXT has on it. If you can connect said cable to one of those, the Nerd will connect as well. I'm assuming that is what you are asking.

If you have a bunch of fischer computers or heads then it may make sense to keep it, but if it's only for the sidewinder I'd consider swapping it for the subconn.
