There might be problem getting hydro on those. I had a lined 72 that they would not Hydro anymore because of the liner.

That test being the tank is held up by the valve and then struck with a hammer and if it does not ring it does not pass. That is per DOT regulations.
are these lining something that can be removed or stripped chemically? I know nothing about lined tanks....
Are these some of the cyliders sold by Divequip back in the 70's? I bought a lined DQ 90 back in 1972. Good cylinder, never had to use much weight even with a wetsuit. I sold it a couple of years later. Glad I did. I learned that no one would hydro the things because the walls were not visible. Also, heard that there were problems with moisture getting between the liner and the wall causing rust.
I tumbled three steel cylinders (orginal hydro 1972) that were vinyl lined. it took three 8 hour days on the tumbler using ceramic chips. They were then sent out for hydro and passed. passed visual too. nice and shiny inside. been diving them past two years with no problems.
