I think they removed it last week. I read it on Facebook somewhere. They had never closed it officially just put up signs. I wouldn't be suprised if it the fecal count was high again after this rain though. I have a feeling the other springs in the area that are effected by the creeks and rivers have the same problem but it isn't public because they aren't tested by the Health Department since they are not a county maintained park. I personally wouldn't be concerned about it. Bozel is downhill from a cow pasture and has several sink holes in the cow pasture that blow the cave after a heavy rain. I wish it wasn't an issue but for a healthy individual I doubt it posses a significant risk.
Considering all the "crap" that ends up in the Choctawhatchee River, I'm amazed all of us aren't sick from it a lot. That being said, I'm still going diving, it's just a little unnerving to jump in when the signs are posted. ��.
I took a gulp of water or two screwing up a gas switch and had no issues. The bacteria can't be too bad or the Mexican food after the dive fixed it.

Minor thread resurrection: Has anyone been in Morrison in the past few days? I've got an OW class to dive and need to know where to have them all meet me, MS or Vortex.
Bil, when are you thinking of taking them? I have to run to PC on Friday morning and can swing by Morrison if you want.
Shirley, we're going Saturday AM. One of our folks was there yesterday and said it's crystal clear, so Morrison it is. Thanks for the offer though and I hope all is well, we haven't seen you in a while!
