Mako K51-D compressor

Mako K51-D compressor for sale. I have not had this one running, but it appears fine - you can feel the pressure as you hand turn the wheel and oil has no bubbles. Rated for up to 5,000 psi, but pressure switch currently set to 3600 psi which is max it's been in service.

Five HP 240V single phase motor, but no motor switch. Does include power service box. basic filters (water separator, air filter). 4 bank bottles, 3500psi (325 cf or is it 333cf?). Also included: Fill station panel with input hose from compressor, and four outputs to fill bank bottles (and for filling from the four). Also a valve that allows you to set the final fill pressure so it stops filling once that pressure is reached. And two fill hoses (fill two tanks at same time). One fill hose is set up for SCBA fills and the other needs either a DIN end or Yoke end added screwed in.

I've added air to the banks by connecting a scuba tank as supply source so am confident of no leaks in the fill panel and limiter valve.

includes one gallon of lawrence factor synthetic oil.

I've contacted Tim at Mako in Georgia. He has pictures and is putting together a list of the needed items - mainly the motor switch box and transformer to connect the pressure cut-off switch, the temperature gauge, and the run-time hour log meter. But I'm sure many of you know better than I how to best connect all that.

Any interest in selling the bank bottles seperate?

Not really, no. Unless someone buys the compressor and doesn't want the bank bottles.... send me a pm with an offer and if the compressor sells without them, then I'd pm you as first in line.

Any idea how old this machine is, Skip? Did the Mako rep indicate that that all parts should still be available?

Lower Price. $1200.00.

The bank bottles have been hydro'd, cleaned, and partly refilled. new hydro date is 05/14. A 5th bank bottle has been added, same size physically, but 4500psi. The Mako rep did not specifically address the availability of parts, but we talked as if the only issue will be whether to use current run-time meter, and auto-shut-off, or get new ones (try to match a motor switch or replace gauges to match motor switch). In any event, the new price, including the compressor, motor, 5 bank tanks, gallon of synthetic oil, and fill panel.... $1200.00. I will meet buyer within a 4 hour drive of Nashville, TN, to deliver, or can deliver to cave country (Gainesville area, or Tallahassee area) on my next trip.
