Its a XXL, but my understanding on that is that it just has longer harness webbing, which is uncut.

I would hazard a guess the integrated fixed length shoulder straps get longer with the size. I purchased a size Small SMS100 and found the shoulder D-rings to be riding too high on my chest as either the shoulder straps were too short, or heaven forbid, I was too big.. Typically I wear either XL or XXL and pretty much expected that anyway..

My assumption would be larger sizes would be designed for larger torsos and or shoulders so the chest d-rings would fall in the proper location. Remember the length from the back to the chest D-ring is not adjustable. However, once below the chest D-rings, the webbing can quite easily be sized as required Didn't matter so much to me as I was primarily after the bladder and those straps have long since hit the cutting room floor.
