Church Sink Cave

A new passage has been discovered in Church Sink cave system. Exploring through a small pit in the floor, line was added out to 400'. The passage contained clear water with a noticeable temperature change. Clarity is very similar to the known clear water passage encountered on the Ferrell property located in north Wakulla County.

The passage is small (2-3 feet in diameter with many low duck unders only 8 inches tall. Line has been extended out to 1300' and is trending south at a depth of 127'. There are 15 leads off the current line as of now. It is expected the passage will continue down to possibly the 280-300' depth range. Flow is noticeable but not significant as the passage is beginning to open up.

Very cool, that 8" tall stuff is about 1/3 as thick as my fat belly though. :)

Simply we have been seeing clear water at deeper depths in the caves in the area. Ferrel Cave for example has hazy water in the upper section, when I made it through the restriction into the lower clear flowing water was discovered. The same with Meeting House, all the clear water comes from depths over 250'.

Sweet you guys are crazy ...passage 8" high..

It'll be tough if it goes deep after the restrictions

It would be weird if it didn't go deep with all the deep cave systems around the area.

We have been into a very deep (300'+) conduit that is trending in that direction. Everything I have been in has a deep section. While I agree, there are shallow cave passage here but everything so has deep as well. Many were supposedly walled out by Casey but I have personally added miles of line beyond his tie off. Granted it took sidemount and a big set of b**** but none the less the caves are going and going. Ferrell is one such cave Spray doubled its depth and length in one dive. It Is on the list to push out to the Meeting House connection once we finish connecting Indian.
