Cherokee
Has anyone made any dives at Cherokee sink in the past 6 months or so. I know its not really a great cave site ,but for practicing it works out well. I am wanting to know what the procedures are after checking in at the ranger station on Wakulla Springs property. They have moved the parking lot to almost the hwy so its a 1 mile hike to the sink and 1 mile back. Any info would be great.

Call the park, give them a couple days notice and a number of divers that will be there.
Day of dive, all divers show up with OW cards, sign in and tell them when you'll be done(within park hours). They'll give you a key, or combination(they've done both with me as the locks have changed). Open the gate at the end of the parking lot, drive in to the sink, dive, win(as much as diving Cherokee is a win atleast).
Wakulla is springing tannic water, I imagine Cherokees normal crappy visibility will be cut down to considerably worse crappy visibility.
