For Sale/Trade ScubaPro Faber 95(Galvanized, Painted Black)

Hydro is a year old. Absolutely no rust. Came black from the factory. Giselle dived my Worthington 85s today and has claimed them as her own. I would prefer to trade them for a pair of PST 104s. If I can't find that, I would consider PST 95s, or possibly other sizes. Tanks are currenly set up with L/R valves for SM, but I still have the manifold and bands if you want them for BM.

I can drop them off next weekend in Luraville or swap them at the NSS-CDS conference. If you are interested in buying them, $450.

Fairly certain faber never made a galvanized tank, you probably have a PST or Worthington.

IIRC, the original hydro stamp matched Faber. They float like a Faber for sure, and the tank butt has the rounded shape to match. Tank is stamped GALV. I can post the markings tomorrow.

All steel tanks are galvanized, but fabers are sprayed while PST and worthington are dipped.

Some tanks are stamped to say they are galvanized, not sure why. Seen that stamp on Coyne cylinders too.

I've seen a set of bare, gray Fabers that looked hot dipped. I think they were the real deal and the owner said she would never sell them. Nice tanks.

My mistake, for whatever reason i had a mental knee jerk for galvanized usually meaning hot dip galavanized.

I have owned two pairs of hot-dipped galvanized Fabers, both branded Scubapro. One pair were 95, the other 60s (looked like 45s, but rated to 3000psi).

I really would love a set of those, or slimline 72s...

The documentation I can find says 6" dia., rather than 5.5" on these.

How did you know they were hot-dipped? The cold galvanized Fabers I have seen looked like they had a coating of grey paint under the while. It was obvious where both were worn off down to metal. These have shiny metal under the paint.

Scubapro imported hot-dipped galvanized Fabers in the 1980s. They don't have an epoxy finish like the "spray galvanized" Fabers and basically look like a set of 104s. Great tanks if you can find them. I have two 74cf "Scubapro" Faber tanks with this finish that I use as O2 bottles.
