Convict Springs 2/29/12
Just did two dives in convict springs.
Current conditions: Near zero flow, unlimited viz all the way up through the noose and crooked way.

There were a few pvc post's that were loose and floating that I stuck back in on the way out. Hopefully they stay in. The line is otherwise in good condition.

This cave is very small and fragile. This is definitely not a cave for the faint of heart, low viz during exit is pretty much guaranteed in some sections given the current condtions. The floor, walls, ceiling are all covered with typical dark black syphon silt.

Also, I highly recommend anyone diving it do so in lp45's or similar small diameter tanks. The max depth is ~35' and most of it is in the 20' range. The cave has a lot of very small passages especially off the main line. Larger tanks could be used but they would have to be taken off frequently and higher risk damaging fragile structures. I even took my 45's off for one of the restrictions.
I did 40 and 38 minute dives and had ~900 psi left in each tank afterwards. Both dives involved going near the end of the line and multiple jumps while exiting. So big tanks are not needed and would definitely not be of benefit.
