Not Fair?

A buddy told me today he purchased an N-19 and 24-watt HID for $3,000 here on cave diver forum and when he got home he had the DR 10-watt LED instead. Then the guy who sold to him said tuff luck, pay attention next time. The story is the guy who bought the 10-watt got the 24-watt by mistake and the seller of both just blew it off like no big deal. The N-19 is pretty sweet though, played with it in the quarry today.

I don't know the other buyer or the seller, but this was recent and a search of the threads here should reveal the seller. From Ohio.

I've always considered the Gear Exchange here on the Cave Diver's Forum as the most upfront, honest, go-the-extra-mile, buy and sell of any in the world, so this just irks me. Not Fair! The involved parties need to set this right. Don't y'all agree?

If your accusation is correct (or that of your buddy), this should be made right for the sake of those of us that frequent the Gear Exchange of the CDF.

I'd be happier if there were a confirmed resolution to the thread.

my buddy would not disclose the seller's ID and I did not do a search of threads. I think it best if the seller step forward and make it right. I'm hoping that maybe my buddy got it wrong and it was the deco stop (no offense), cause he spends a lot of time there too. I'll look deeper into if need be, in the next few days. but yeah, your thread link matches up.

I'm more interested in the integrity of the folks on this forum, can you give us a hint as to whom it was, or whether it was actually on the CDF or some other forum?

If not the thread I posted, I need to ask the mods to delete my previous post to not implicate the guy that sold his scooter and light.

Ok, let me write the exact story. I wrote Jason told him I was interested in the N-19 and the 24 watt hid. We settled on $3200 and we meet in Louisville. Half way for both of us. I didn't pay any attention to the light when it was loaded, I was focused on the scooter. When I got home I immediately called him. He responded that he had screwed up and had sold a 10 watt hid also and had shipped the 24 watt hid too the other buyer. I replied to him to have guy ship light back and for him to send him the right light. He replied to me with he would refund me $100.00 or swap the 10 watt hid for for a 10 watt led. At this point thought I was pretty much screwed so I again asked if there was no way to get the 24 watt light back, no responds. So I emailed him back and told him I would take the 10 watt led which in my eyes is the better of the two lights. I shipped the HID to him and he shipped the LED too me. (but he couldn't do that with the guy who got a 24 watt instead of a 10)??

I recognize him, that is Eddie Murphy. I hear he is nice, but his brother Charlie is a bit rough around the edges.

Hope this all gets sorted out.
