Cant decide which I like better... the caves or that beautiful glassy break. Definitely will keep DR in travel plans for the future. Can I borrow a board, I can bring my own cave gear.
-
well, phill has several millions of boards..hehehe I bet you might be able to get one borrowed at least :)

awsome camera work..didnt care for the snake much though. but thanks crossing the list off one snake at a time
-
you don't like snakes??? :)
they are not many here really, and none of the species are poisonous which is really good :)

Cristian, beautiful photographs! I definitely have to get back there. I only got to dive Taina, the Disco (la roca?) and Jardine Oriental when I was there, but they all were unique and nice caves. I may commit myself to making it back in 2011 to see more of the country (plus I have started sidemounting now, looks like alot of great sidemount diving)

The waves on the north coast are super consistent and uncrowded, it's like PR minus the crowds and with caves, what more could you ask for?
there are also many surf spots on the Caribbean side that are also fairly consistent, near Pedernales there is a place called Barahona and it is actually a very consistent area year round, never big but in the knee to head high range on a very regular basis, this is within a two hour drive from Pedernales were there are a ton of caves and mean cactuses.

I see why you live there Phillip. Not much of a big wave surfer. Growing up in the Florida Panhandle we were lucky to get waist high most days. Maybe I can get down there in 2011- 2012
