Forum Upgrades

Today we will be upgrading the forums.
Expect some downtime.

Also, the look may change a bit.

I will try to make this upgrade as painless as possible, but you never know.:rollguy

The new look is not that pleasing to the eye. My 2 cents.... YMMV.
Additionally I try to go to the "home" page and it gives me a silly msg saying I do not have enough privileges to go there... what gives?

As mentioned in the process of updating it.

As far as the look and feel, that's the new default vbulletin look. TJ may have to locate a new template for it.
I agree it looks bad.

Right now, I'm just getting it working, not making it look pretty-

I can get there, but y'all ain't missing nothing. I'm sure they'll get it all worked out shortly. If not, I'll make stuff up that's on the home page and post here ;)

Just now finally getting warm over here.

That Home link is for the blog pages / CMS etc. Nothing there yet, maybe why the error.
This VB is a new beast, so I don't have all the answers like in version 3.x

Maybe TJ might actually have to read something this time instead of askin me for all the answers lololo

If you guys want a custom template for the new vbulletin, feel free to pm me later. I am more than happy to do a little hacking on some template code for ya :)

Dude, this SO bogus!!! I clicked "Home" ten times already, and dang if I'm not still sitting in my cubicle at work! What's the use in having a button for "Home" if it doesn't actually take me home? Wait...how does it know where I live anyway? HAL? Is that you?

If you click the "Forum" button, that will get you to the list of forums/threads etc. and you can at least read/post... until they fix the home button. All else seems to work as it did before.
