In Peacock, "The Well" after jumping off the gold line from the the Olsen side....
I have only been to "The Well" (big round hole in the floor)...
The question, you drop down the hole and this takes you to the Peacock II exit?
Does the tunnel (not going down the hole) go anywhere?
Also, is the entire tunnel to P2 as silty as the tunnel to "The Well"?

Not sure if we are talking about the same place, but if you go the pothole line and jump right <100ft in you get to the PII line. ~200ft back there is a hole that the line drops through (a "well") and continues on a for a little while longer (300ft?). It starts to go up and then you come to the end of the line. I have just always been told and called the entire area PII.
I would say the part after the well is just as silty as the part leading up to it, but I did not think either was particularly bad.

P2 doesn't have a swimable passage and the line ends. Water may flow but I don't know of an exit. But you are correct on location. 100' in jump to the right. Drop down round tunnel and follow line to P2.

We did a great dive at the well in December. The well drops to about 75 ft deep or so. The line then continues on through a very pretty bedding plane cave for a way. The line walls out in a domed ceiling room that comes up to about 60ft deep. I don't recall the length of the passage, but we went in, dove to the end of the line turned the dive and came out at P1 at a normal pace in a 45 min. dive.
There is no evidence of a connection to P2. I don't recall the tunnel being very silty, the ceiling is low in spots but is an easy back mount. It's a very nice little dive.
Yup, this is the passage I am talking about. I don't consider it very silty to "the well" just that there was silt on the floor (as opposed to rock floor like by the sign on the olsen / pothole line.)
Will have to do this dive next time in Peacock, just always jumped over, looked down into the well,and turned around.

Also , it IS a syphon back there ... (SMILE).
We've been back there to the EOL , turned around , and had a "nice" little breeze in our face , so to speak!!!
It's actually not very silty back there at all. The duckunder going into the last little room can be a little poofy though.

There's a room to the right that looks pretty cool, I'd like to check it out some time.. I heard it leads back to the cavern.

It slightly siphoned for us, too, but not too bad. I'm sure it could be more alarming to turn around if there were more current than that day.
I was just there wednesday, and it was not bad. abouth the same as the rest of P1 - lots of stuff on the walls. and yes, after the duckunder it is quite "Poofy" :)
