Bil Fehring (CDS pres. at the time, as well as a DiePpolder guide) Sheck, Mary Ellen and some others dove it back in the early 80's...reported it deep, dark and no fun...lol!

The map and description are definitely interesting. The map looks to have been generated with one of those cool whirlygig doodads. Anyone know?

What's the geological background of this lake/cave? Any ideas how it was formed? Does it wall out or is that just the extent of exploration?

Not if your from the Bradenton, Sarasota area. The 2 - 3' of viz kinda makes me want to skip this one.

That's what I was thinking. Why would anyone want to do this anyway? I'm glad there are some out there who can handle 200+ ft depths while braille diving, but I just see NO point in it. Risk should be an assessment of the hazards of a given activity weighed against the benefits of it and the opportunity cost of doing something else. I just see no benefits and a huge opportunity cost.
