Update on the party at Cave East this coming Saturday

We wanted to thank everybody for your continued support of Cave Excursions East since we opened up just over five years ago and as most of you already know, we've decided to have a customer appreciation party this coming Saturday, February 28th, 2009.

We're supported in this effort by the NACD who's sponsoring the event and also by Dive Rite and Salvo who have decided to come out and help us give you all some great deals in these tough economic times!

We'll be having a Gear Exchange in the morning starting at 9.00 am and continuing on throughout the day, plus we'll be giving you free nitrox (limited to set of doubles and a stage) and lunch and drinks will be provided at no charge.

Just after midday, sidemounter Jess Zellers from Dive Rite will be chatting about how to tweak your Nomad for your individual diving needs and this will certainly be something you don't want to miss, as everyone can benefit from her tips, especially if you've recently purchased one of these great rigs.

In the afternoon, NACD Training Director Larry Green has graciously offered to speak about the mapping of Eagle's Nest in the early 90's, the obstacles involved in such an undertaking at that time and how it was all put together, culminating in the publishing of the definitive map of the system.

As mentioned earlier, we'll be having some outrageous deals on gear from Dive Rite and Salvo and we've also decided to put EVERYTHING else in the store on sale that day. Due to the drastic price reductions we will be offering these specials on Saturday only and in some cases (but not all) it will be limited to stock that we have on hand.

Hopefully you can take the time to come by and say "Hi", peruse some gear, eat some food, catch up with old friends and enjoy a fun filled day of diving and socializing.

Well looks like the weather's going to be great and I tell ya, it looks like Christmas around here with all the gear laying everywhere!

Couple of updates, we've received some PM's about times, so I'll just put it up here for everyone. We're opening at our normal 9.00 am time, Chris will start flipping burgers around 11.30 or so, Jess is scheduled to talk about the Nomad about 12.30 pm and Larry's going to speak about Eagle's Nest around 2.00 pm or so.

EVERYTHING in the store will be on sale including drysuits, tanks, lights, wings, harnesses but we wanted to let people know that these prices will only be good for tomorrow! Hope to see everyone there......

Larry's presentation about the early exploration of Eagle's Nest was fascinating! It was very informative and spoke to the difficulties that the explorers had to overcome to map the cave.

I was doing so well saving money recently, and then they put salvo 21w LED or HiD's on sale for $899, any wing in stock for $199, and 1st/2nd stage reg combos for $290, how am I supposed to save money when they do that? I avoided the temptation of buying anything yesterday, and then Rich offered me the same deal when I came back today and I gave in on the light...
