Say WHAT? I'm supposed to do P1/OG saturday....and I don't own a drysuit. Might be painful.

The water will be fine. Just run back to your vehicle real fast![]()
LOL another day I wish I wasn't a broke college student. Oh well...gotta man up so I can dive!

Even more fun is winter sumpdiving. I came out of Organ cave "early" one trip, to find my support crew had gone back to the fieldhouse in *my* truck. It was in the teens, and I was soaking wet. I walked the half mile to the fieldhouse, and my coveralls were clanking, and my beard was frozen.
These FL guys are a bunch of wusses![]()
Or like the time we all exited orange grove and our gear froze to the tables/benches! Be careful where you put the wet stuff! (dang, i can't even remember which year that was...not too long ago, florida lost the oranges that year too).

When I lived in Pa, We dove the quarries year round (still do when I am up there) and one january (at Bainbridge), the water temp after the 2nd thermocline was 34 degrees and the air temp was in the 'teens. Walking from the water to the shack (about 30 feet) a layer of ice formed on my drysuit and my mask froze over. talk about COLD!
Are you talking Organ Cave in WV???

I grew up in that area and dry caved there when I was in high school (among other places in the area). I have always wanted to go back and explore more. We just went back to the Waterfall room and some side passages that i dont really remember the names of like Canyon, Throne Room, and some others. But it has been a while.
If you go back there, let me know and I can haul gear for you if you like. My parents still live about 20 minutes from there.
