I know we're all trained (or supposed to have been) in our basic Nitrox class to always analyze our gases.
However, I also know how easy it is to get comfortable/complacent/lazy with regards to this when getting basic 32% from our regular cave country haunts. After all, it's banked 32%...we get the same thing all the time, right?
Not always...I recently got a "free" trimix fill on accident. It seems the trimix bank had been left on accidentally following a trimix fill (21/35).
The final outcome: Murphy gave me a free one...no harm done. The resulting fill had only a slightly lower o2 percentage than I was expecting (my tanks weren't very low to start with). However, it certainly woke me up from my laziness. The results could have been much different. Every tank I breathe will get analzyed before I breathe it...every tank...every time.
