Backup light

I will be taking cavern and intro to cave in April. I have a question about backup lights. I will be using a Salvo 21W for my primary. I have a dive rite 10W HID handheld that I can attach to my BC with its weight pocket, and a Aeris 4C that fits into my dry suit pocket. Are these acceptable backup lights for cave? Any other recommendations for lights or gear would be appreciated.

I would say both of your lights are certainly more than acceptable for backup. I have not seen anyone who uses the handheld HID for that purpose because they are pretty bulky, but it would certainly be more than adequate. Most of us tend to use something more compact, but again, your lights will certainly meet standards. Good luck with your classes.
