    Default deco bottle

Hey all, in your experience, how much should a brand new 40 cubic foot al tank setup for a deco bottle cost? bottle, reg, spg, etc... it looks to be 400-450 for everything new. It this about right?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

If you want to get started right away, I have a really old system that I'll let go cheap. CHEAP!

It's an Aqua Lung Conshelf VI first and second stage with Aqua Lung SPG. It has a 2250 yoke. I O2 cleaned and rebuilt it, and put on new HP and LP hoses and mouthpiece. I'll let it go to you for $75. The hoses and mouthpiece retail for that.

    Let me know.

I paid 130.00 for my bottle, Luxfer BA 40 and about 40.00 for the bits an pieces and MOD stickers. Already had an Oceanic Alpha Reg just added a short gauge.

I got a pretty good deal on mine:

$200 - included new O2 cleaned Luxfer 40 (brushed), Rebuilding a Mk2+/190 I already owned with the Scubapro O2 kit, converting first stage from yoke to DIN, new green mouthpiece, stickering the bottle for O2, and assembling with a 2" pressure gauge and 40" hose (aso supplied by me) and filled to 3000 psi w/ 100% O2.

$55 - DR Stage kit (just cause I like how they look better than the homemade version)

Find someone with way more tanks than they will ever need that are already rigged as stages. I was fortunate enough to have a local cave diver that did not cave dive anymore that was selling off most of his gear. I bought AL40's already rigged for $80 and AL80's rigged for $120. Then the regs cost around $150 - $200 each new. I also found an AL80 at a garage sale once and bought it for $30. Needed a hydro and is bright yellow, but can't beat the price. Went to Lowes (second favorite dive shop) and got almost everything I needed for the stage rig.

I paid about $470 for brand new everything:

    Luxfer 40 w/Din Valve
    VIP & O2 Fill
Clamp, Webbing, Snaps & Hose Retainer
    Salvo First Stage SR2
    DiveRite Non Adjustable Second
    Green Purge Button
    Button Pressure Guage

I probably could have gotten it for less by shopping around or getting a less expensive reg, but I needed it, it was there and I had it for my next dive. I like the fact that the SR2 is environmentally sealed given the constant dumping of the first stage in muck and sand.
