I still love going to the Crypt, but see no possible reason to ever venture into the deep section of it again.

The upper part is reasonably safe, but stay away from the walls, they have a lot of loose stuff clinging to them, and any movement, like a fin kick could cause a rock slide.

Never gone to the Crypt, but hoping to do it one of these days when I find the right buddy or when the state parks start allowing solo divers in.

Do you think the entire Lower Orange is too unstable? I've done it once, but can't quite recall the entrance and main loop feeling like they would collapse any moment. I wonder how much risk it is to be going down there.

Main tunnel is fine - the stuff at the 180-190 level is extremely dicey

The main tunnel has had a history of being unstable, with quite a few episodes of falling debris a few years ago.

Yikes! I think a lot of people are still diving it.
