Where does the gold line end in Telford?

7000' ! From LR to Telford would be more like 51,165' + or over 9 miles ? what would be the gear needed for this traverse ? Very interesting

I love this video & can appreciate the efforts put into it. I first heard of the connection between Telford & Luraville from Tom Morris & Woody Jasper over coffee in a Gainesville cafe in the middle 80's. Their description & efforts were astounding. Now seeing this video I can truly visualize what that swim may have been like.
    Thank you for posting it.

That dive is way over my skill or comfort level but I really enjoyed watching it.

Hey all, OFG just let me know about this post. That was an incredibly fun project. It took 4 setup dives and 2 breakdown dives to place and then retrieve stages. And yup, it was all solo. There's a looong section where there is little flow and fine stuff on the floor, so going in a group would NOT be fun, the vis behind the first person goes to crap.

I used a system of marking that allowed me to "discover" the right way as I progressed. I ended up doing a loop by mistake, recalculated gas and decided to keep going. It cost me about 20 mins of extra swimming. I was very, very happy to see my stage on the Telford side as I was not relishing the swim back if I couldn't make the connection.

It's a fun, 3 to 4 day project, with widely varying cave formations and structures. The color and deposits on the lines made it clear that this hadn't been done in a loooong time when I did it. In fact when I ran out of arrows I started scratching an A in arrows that were covered in black and easy to scratch through.

The scariest part of the dive was swimming down the river to the car ramp when I exited Telford. It was about 10 PM and I was convinced that I was going to get taken out by an alligator.
