I may have a bit of experience diving outside Florida.... What I was getting at is that I don't know that I would move to Indiana for the cave diving scene. If you're into dry caving and survey, that's a whole different ball game.

I'm definitely spoiled by Florida water. Any time someone asks me if they should get into cave diving, I just tell them "Go to Florida and take a cavern course" and that usually starts them downhill. There's nothing like the gin-clear water in (most of the big) Florida Springs.

The Indiana article is pretty cool, I've heard rumors of their work for many years and I think I met Fishback several years ago at a convention.

Would be going there for a job.... not for the cave diving scene. Just nice that there is cave diving as an option which is way better than other positions that are WAY far away from the cave scene.... and that is all said with the lack of even an interview at this point... just research and found something I thought would be interesting to everyone else

you must have missed all those posts Yep, have a whopping 2 dives in it.... became a necessity as I am now 100 lbs down from when I lived in Florida. My last dive at Peacock in July I actually was shivering post dive.... was such a neat experience but not something that bides well for finishing full cave.
