    Default Is Cave Training BS?

I've consulted with a team of experts* on the recent discussions vis-a-vis many typical training practices.

Turns out the answer is no.

*Experts included my dog and two cats. Decisions were by unanimous vote only.

My cats all agree, and I have a couple dozen or so of them, that until they can figure out how to operate the can opener; that cave training and me following my training are of utmost importance.

Cats aren't qualified to judge cave training, they don't even like water. Dogs on the other hand like water. I have seen pictures of dogs scuba diving

No but evidently about a third of the training curriculum is no longer needed since all cave divers dive sidemount and we aren't training explorers anymore since that was all done post 1979 to.....well pick a date...and the restrictions are all wallowed out.

I hear it's a racket to make instructors rich beyond their wildest dreams.

They say you get a machine to print money when you become an instructor. Or was that a card printer you get sued over. I don't remember, something along those lines.

No, there is plenty left to explore in Florida, but it is getting harder to get to unexplored passage. There is more outside Florida, but the water is colder, and the visibility is lower.
