Thread: P3 conditions

    Default P3 conditions

Has anyone been in P3 lately? I'm wondering if it's ok with the water level so high.

I was there last weekend, the viz was 50-60ft at least.

Went to peacock yesterday. Were the only people in the park for hours. As we were leavig a single diver came to just scout the water. He walked over to P3 and said it looked very clear.
We may go back tomorrow and will seim over to p3 to check if we do

Awesome, thanks! Sounds like it'll be a good weekend for it.

Would you mind making a conditions report? http://www.caveatlas.com/systems/sys...12&co=US&tab=3

Didn't get to P3 today. Dove OG since we got a late start. Cavern is tannic till you find the trees, then 60+ feet till the 900ft back to back arrows. Once you drop down the hole to head to challenge the vis drops to a hazy 30 ft.

I have a suspicion P3 would be nice.

We dove P3 today; one other team was there. The surface is mostly covered with algae, but there was a window of clear water near the entry. Inside, visibility was a hazy 30 feet or less for the first 1000 feet of cave. Conditions were better in Henley's and the back of the cave, but everything is covered in a fine dust that is easily disturbed. There are giant catfish everywhere who seem intent on stirring up the silt.

We were the other team. Went up the Spring Tunnel past the 4th T. Nice little dive. It was my first time in the Spring Tunnel that I recall so I can't really comment on it but P3 was about like I remember it 4 or 5 years ago. The only thing I am trying to figure out is who put one of my line arrows on the 4th T. There were no other markers on it. I am just curious and no one I know will own up to it.
